Semper Fidelis isn't just for the Corps.

I've been debating if I want to go see Jarhead or not. Then this poped into my feedlist.

http://www.marines.mil/marinelink/mcn2000.nsf/ad983156332a819185256cb600677af3/1567399f40b3cbec852570ae0021d6ef?OpenDocument

Maybe folks won't get it, but the injured hero here wasn't even a Marine, he's a Navy Seaman. It's simply amazing to me that, despite all of the politics and goading between the services, that the real meaning of "Semper Fidelis" always manages to shine through.

I don't think modern Hollywood will ever really understand or capture that, but then Hollywood always has been a better reflection of our civilian culture than our military. There's a leason here for business leaders, but I don't think they'd really get it either.

And that's a real shame.
