Yep, Wally went and did it. I'm his guest on this weeks installment of the ASP.NET PodCast. We did this interview a while ago, so there's a few things I wanted to add/update/correct:
And here's a couple more pictures from SQLPASS.

As if having to get up at 0330 wasn't bad enough, when I did wake up, the clock read 0443. I flew through a shower and just as I was stampeding back to my office to get my laptop and bag, Janell greets with a warm smile, a big hug, a soft kiss and the news that its merely 0327. Whew! As usual, getting to the airport the worst part of the trip down. If you don't mind sharing a ride, the friendly blue-vanned SuperShuttle folks can get to the front door of the conference site PDQ for $12. Highly recommended. Hotel registration was excellent, but I'm still not used to getting called "Sir" so much. Conference registration was a delightful non-hassle. |
Got up to my room (4389 for anybody that's looking for me) and unloaded stuff. I'm now sitting out on my patio looking over the domed in area of the hotel. The hotel is pretty nice and certainly lives up to the Gaylord standard. Got on-line and starting chatting with folks that are already there. Funny, isn't it, sometimes its just easier to text message than to walk a few feet and carry out a conversation. Found out from Tony Spulak that he was in Bob Beauchemin's pre-con. Talk about a small world: Tony joined HDR and took over my System Administration tasks, while I joined DevelopMentor and am trying to fill Bob's shoes. Anyway, Bob was bemoaning the lack of SQL Server 2005 for Developer books to give away, so I dropped off a copy of one from him.
I'm spending the rest of my day before the speaker's meeting working on an informal presentation on LINQ that I think I'm giving on Thursday at 1PM in the lounge area. More details on that as they become available.
Oh, and yes, there's photos: http://www.sqljunkies.com/WebLog/photos/ktegels/category1060.aspx
