SOA and Indigo presentation

Last night I attended a great presentation on Service Oriented Architecture and Indigo given by Sam Gentile for the Vermont .NET user group. I found one thing very interesting - Sam mentioned that there were many different definitions of SOA and even more opinions about it, often contradicting each other. That's pretty much the same thing you see when it comes to agile development, you just gotta read everything you can get your hands on, see what the experts have to say (and watch them put down each other), then develop your own take on it.

Anyway, he got me interested enough that I will check out WSE 3.0 and see what the fuss is about. Unfortunatelly I had to miss the last part where he talked about Indigo, but it definitelly looks very promising.

Later today I met Sam and Julia Lerman for breakfast at my favorite pastry shop Chef's Corner in Williston. I had a great time with Sam and Julia, and I am sure Sam found it comforting that not everyone in Vermont is a hippie.
